VE Day Beacon Lighting 8th May 9:30pm

This year marks a truly special anniversary on the 8th of May: 80 years of peace in Europe, succeeding the ultimate sacrifice made by so many millions of people during World War II. as we come together united as a community, a country, and a nation, we will be proud to join so many others in commemoration and celebration. All beacons will be lit at 9:30pm, with our own beacon to join the hundreds of thousands of lights that will blaze across the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, with the flames representing the ‘light of peace’ that emerged triumphant from the horrors and darkness of war.
